Chenin Blanc

The nose offers an abundance of tropical fruit with aromas of yellow cling peach, fresh pineapple, granadilla and nectarine. The stone fruit of the nose follows through onto the palate with flavours of citrus and quince. The mid-palate is very balanced with good weight and a fresh, yet integrated, lemony acidity. Fresh tropical fruit lingers on the finish with hints of spice and lemon.

Cabernet Sauvignon

The nose offers blackberry, youngberry and bramble aromas with subtle notes of cedar oak and pencil shavings with a hint of perfume. Dark berry fruit flavours follow through onto a palate where oak clearly plays a supportive role. The wine is medium bodied with smooth tannins – all contributing to the accessibility of the wine. Drinks exceptionally well now or enjoy within the next 3 years with meaty casseroles, venison or steak tartare.

Shiraz

The wine is vivid purple, almost inky black, in colour with a pink pomegranate rim. The nose is intense, dark and brooding with violets and perfume in abundance and subtle whiffs of white pepper. The juicy palate shows dark blue- and blackberry fruit further dominated by vibrant liquorice and hints of cloves, nutmeg and star aniseed. The wine is balanced and focused, elegant yet complex, with fine grained tannins. The spicy finish lingers with a bouquet of violets and black cherry following through from the palate.

Merlot

The nose shows plums, blueberry and dark cherry in abundance with subtle whiffs of aniseed, cloves and ginger. The palate is exceptionally smooth and balanced, showing ripe blue- and blackberry with integrated acidity. Notes of cedar wood and fruitcake spiciness so typical of this variety follows through from the nose. Silky, soft tannins and hints of mint on the finish makes for a very enjoyable wine.
